Abstract

The aim of study is to analyze the current state of investment activities aimed at the development of the tourism sector.

Tourism is considered one of the most promising areas of the economy, capable of attracting significant capital and contributing to the socio-economic development of the country. The article analyzes the current state of the tourism market in the world and Kazakhstan based on accumulated quantitative indicators. The main part of the work is devoted to issues related to investment projects implemented in tourist areas with high tourism and recreational potential.

An analysis of current and prospective investment projects implemented in various regions of Kazakhstan is carried out, with an emphasis on the development of infrastructure, ecotourism, health and wellness and resort areas. In addition, attention is paid to government support measures aimed at attracting domestic and foreign investment in the tourism sector.

Existing mechanisms for providing investment preferences, such as tax incentives, simplified administrative procedures and subsidies that contribute to the creation of a favorable investment climate, are analyzed. Particular attention is paid to regulatory legal acts governing this area.

The main principles and approaches to the development of the industry, provided for by the Concept of Development of the Tourism Industry in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2023-2029, are considered. Particular attention is paid to tourist destinations that are highly attractive to domestic and foreign investors and also have significant potential for sustainable development of the industry in the long term. The study employed methods such as scientific generalization, systematization, analysis, and comparison. The results obtained may serve as a basis for improving measures aimed at attracting and directing investments into the tourism industry.
