Abstract
Our young sovereign state stands as one of the preeminent economies within the Commonwealth of Independent States. The digital payment milieu in Kazakhstan is undergoing a progressive transmutation, spurred by financial and technological innovations, alongside governmental investment in payment modalities. This scholarly article proffers an inquiry, the objective of which is to examine the manner in which the instantiation of a national digital currency might augment financial inclusiveness. Furthermore, it endeavors to formulate recommendations predicated upon a scrutiny of authoritative scholarly data and analogous international endeavors. The methodological underpinning of this work incorporated principles of analysis and synthesis of scholarly sources from the past quinquennium, emphasizing their contemporaneous relevance and pertinence to the research inquiry. As a case in point, China’s successful implementation of a national digital currency has been selected to illustrate a positive precedent. The research findings delineate potential governmental and regulatory trajectories for the deployment of the digital tenge, with an emphasis on fortifying monetary oversight and fostering broader access to financial services.
